I was a dancer, poverty made me become a singer – Asake confesses

Asake, a Nigerian musician also known as Ahmed Oloade, has shared that he was motivated to pursue a career in music due to poverty.

Initially, he was a dancer but had to add singing to his skill set because he was not earning enough from dancing

Asake, who is 24 years old, disclosed this during a recent interview with ABC News.

He explained that his father's love for music influenced his interest in singing, as he grew up listening to classical songs played by his parents.

Although he originally aspired to be a dancer, he discovered his talent for singing and realized that it could bring him the financial stability he desired.
